SignTong Alerts

Essential Solution for Public Safety and Convenience

Some information, such as disaster alerts, traffic updates, and announcements, must be communicated quickly.

However, people with hearing impairments often miss this critical information.

SignTong Alerts was created to eliminate this communication gap.

EQ4ALL’s AI sign language avatar recognizes alerts generated as speech or text and instantly delivers sign language videos based on pre-trained sign language templates.

This technology ensures that everyone can safely receive and understand the same information simultaneously.

The Unique Value and Benefits of SignTong Notifications

Real-Time Broadcasting System

AI analyzes voice and text data and instantly retrieves the corresponding content from pre-built sign language sentence templates for immediate delivery. This structure ensures both accuracy and responsiveness, even in urgent situations.

Compatible with Multiple Platforms

It can be applied to various public systems such as railways, subways, broadcasting stations, and outdoor LED displays. It also integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure, including broadcasting equipment and text notification servers.

Integrated Process

Voice, text, and sign language operate together within a single system. The entire process—from the moment a notification is generated to its final display—is managed in an integrated manner, minimizing the risk of information loss.

Use Case References by Solution Area

EQ4ALL’s SignTong Notification solution is already breaking down barriers to information accessibility across a variety of real-world settings.

Transportation Guidance (Rail/Subway)

In the event of train operations or emergencies, the system directly connects to the broadcasting infrastructure to instantly deliver guidance sentences as sign language videos. Voice announcements and sign language videos are provided simultaneously, ensuring both mobility and safety for the hearing-impaired.

Disaster and Emergency Alerts

For TV emergency broadcasts, CAP (Common Alerting Protocol) data is used to deliver sign language avatar videos alongside subtitles. On mobile devices and KakaoTalk alerts, the system analyzes emergency text messages to automatically generate a webpage with sign language videos and sends the link via notification messages. The same videos can also be displayed in real time on outdoor LED screens.

Cultural and Arts Spaces

At the National Gwacheon Science Museum, 3D avatar sign language interpretation using HoloLens has been implemented. In addition, various exhibitions provide guidance through sign language videos. This allows hearing-impaired visitors to access explanations of the exhibits in sign language, expanding opportunities for cultural engagement.

Alerts for Everyone, Safety for Everyone

SignTong Notifications is more than just an alert system.

It is a digital inclusion technology that ensures no one is left out of information—whether in critical emergencies or everyday guidance.

It provides safety for the hearing-impaired and equitable access for everyone.
